Creating a New Classified Ad

There are two steps in displaying a Classified Ad publicly on MHParks.com. First, the user must create and save an advertisement. After the ad has been saved, users will then be able to publish their ad. In this article users will learn how to create a new Classified Ad using the Advertise module within the Dashboard of MHParks.com.

Note - Premium Members are able to create and publish an unlimited number of Basic Classified Ads, for free, as part of their subscription.

Overview

Creating a new Classified Ad involves a simple two step process by which the user first provides the content of the advertisement, and then brands the advertisement so other viewers know who to contact for your goods and services. In the branding step users can option to either use the information that comes automatically from their User Profile settings, or entering the customized branding information. 

Once the user has completed both steps, and clicks the Save button, the advertisement will be displayed in their list of ads on the Classified Ads tab, with an Ad Status of Saved, until the advertisement has actually been published. Users can choose, at any time, to Edit, Publish, or Delete any advertisement that has an Ad Status of Saved.



Prerequisites

  1. Users must be a Premium Member to access the Classified Ads tab, located in the Advertise module, of their Dashboard.

Instructions 

To create a new Classified Ad, please perform the following steps.
  1. Login to your MHParks.com account.
  2. From within your Dashboard, click Advertise from the left menu.
  3. Click on the Classified Ads tab.
  4. Click the Create Classified Ad button located in the top right of the page.
  5. Click the Category dropdown field, to select the category you wish to see your advertisement display in on MHParks.com.   
  6. After completing the remaining fields and uploading at least one image, click the Next button located in the bottom right of the form. 
  7. On the branding step, select how your information should appear in the Marketed By section of your advertisement.
    1. User Profile Branding - Place a checkmark in the option Use my profile information to have the advertisement automatically use your User Profile information.  
    2. Custom Branding - Place a checkmark in the option Use custom branding, and complete the fields, to provide custom information that should be used in the Marketed By section of your advertisement. 
  8.  Once you have selected which branding option you wish to use for your advertisement, click Save. 
  9. After clicking Save, the Preview and Publish button will become active. 
  10. After saving your advertisement, lick the X located in the top right of the page to close the form. 
Note - After clicking the Save button, you can immediately choose to publish the advertisement, by clicking the Publish button, or publish it later by clicking Publish within your ad's Action menu.
